Psychology Clinic Design and Healthy Lifestyle Counseling in Modiin

Photography by Michal Falberg

In this interior design project for a clinic in Modiin, specializing in psychology and healthy lifestyle counseling, we created a therapeutic space with a warm, private, and professional atmosphere – exactly as the clients requested.

Planning the Clinic Space

The space was designed from the ground up: full infrastructure, high-quality acoustic partitions to prevent sound transfer between rooms, and meticulous finishes ensuring a quiet and respectful treatment experience.
The acoustic sealing allows simultaneous sessions without compromising privacy or patients’ sense of security.

Psychology Clinic Design – The Experience Begins at the Entrance

The entrance area was designed to create a sense of calm and welcome from the very first step. Linear general lighting combined with spotlights creates a soft, intimate atmosphere.
A privacy film on the entrance door ensures discretion, while a bamboo-inspired feature wall highlighted by spotlights creates a striking design focal point. A warm-toned rug, modern floor lamp, and blue velvet chairs balance the palette and add a chic, inviting look.
A compact kitchenette with integrated refrigerator and hidden communication cabinet keeps the space functional and harmonious.

Reception – Balancing Professional Formality with Warmth and Intimacy

The design language softens the transition from the outside world into a therapeutic clinic.
The feature wall provides depth and presence without being overwhelming. Its light tones and soft texture convey stability and seriousness without feeling cold or institutional. Focused lighting creates a warm play of light and shadow.

Waiting Area – Comfort Over Coldness

Two deep-blue velvet armchairs create an elegant focal point, paired with a side table and greenery to add warmth and vitality.

Designed Kitchenette – Practicality Meets Style

The kitchenette allows therapists and clients to enjoy a drink or relax before/after sessions. Geometric monochrome tiles combined with dark cabinets create a strong visual anchor without overpowering the space.

A Reception That is an Experience

The entrance functions as more than a hallway – it is an experience. Layered lighting (overhead, spot, and floor lamp) allows control of the atmosphere throughout the day. The clean and sophisticated style conveys both professionalism and accessibility.
The clear message: treatment begins before you even enter the room.

Therapy Rooms – Optimistic Elegance

Therapy rooms were designed in bright, optimistic tones, with soft curtains, precise lighting, and refined furniture.
The healthy lifestyle counseling room includes open metal shelves, decorative objects, mirrors, and artwork that add subtle color and inspiration.
The result is a space that is calming yet full of life – a place clients want to return to.

Spot Design’s Key Principles in Psychology Clinic Design

  • Calm and respectful atmosphere – pastel and light blue tones that naturally reduce tension.

  • Sense of security and belonging – soft furnishings and airy curtains that feel welcoming.

  • Clean, organized functionality – closed storage for order, open shelves for quick access.

  • Soft natural light – sheer curtains that filter light while ensuring privacy.

  • Balance between aesthetics and simplicity – white walls, sea-inspired artwork, and delicate furniture conveying subtle elegance.

Conclusion

Psychology clinic design is about creating a safe environment where clients can feel, think, and express themselves – exactly what a good therapy room should provide.
