McClarens Israel, a professional real estate appraisal firm, approached us with a clear mission:
To transform an outdated office space into a modern appraiser office that’s practical, inspiring, and visually aligned with their brand values.
Key Challenges in the Original Office
As with many aging office spaces, the project began with several major design issues:
Lack of Natural Light: A solid drywall partition blocked the wide windows, creating a closed-off, claustrophobic corridor.
Noise and Low Privacy: Standard ceiling tiles, hollow doors, and non-insulated partitions contributed to a noisy and unfocused work environment.
Worn-out Appearance: Outdated furniture and worn carpets affected the team’s sense of pride and belonging.
The Solution: A Modern-Vintage Interior Design for Appraisers
We developed a concept that blends modern simplicity with vintage touches, resulting in an office space that feels professional, personal, and timeless.
Natural Light Flow
We removed the solid wall and replaced it with a continuous line of glass partitions, allowing daylight to flow into the corridor while maintaining necessary privacy.
Acoustic Comfort
Installed a high-performance acoustic ceiling for sound absorption.
Added wall-to-wall carpeting to reduce noise and provide a warm, soft atmosphere suitable for focused work.
New Custom Furniture
Replaced all furniture with modern, brand-coordinated pieces.
Designed the reception area with a wooden booth-style structure, including a hidden built-in cabinet that blends into the wall.
Open Space, Private Feel
Workstations were placed in an open space layout using tall partitions to provide visual and acoustic privacy without closing off the room.
Subtle Branding with Character
The brand’s signature blue color was subtly incorporated throughout.
A vintage world map design was applied to the glass partitions – visually connecting history with modern professionalism.
A Meeting Room with Vintage Soul
To spark creativity and conversation, we added authentic vintage objects to the meeting room:
An old telephone
A telescope
Antique weights
These items provide a touch of intellectual charm and storytelling, adding depth to client interactions.
The Result: A Refined, Branded, and Functional Appraiser Office
The new design of McClarens Israel’s office delivers a space that:
Supports concentration and quiet work
Reflects a clear and trustworthy brand image
Inspires both employees and clients
Combines modern design with vintage sophistication
